At Cycle Works Yorkshire we are proud to be an authorised dealer of Kona bikes. We stock a wide range of Kona bikes for all cycling styles including mountain bikes, road bikes and e-bikes. As an authorised dealer, we have access to Kona’s full range of bikes, if we don’t stock a product you wish to purchase we can contact Kona bikes directly and place a custom order.

Established in 1988 by mountain bike enthusiasts Dan Gerhard and Jacob Heilbro, Kona bikes quickly became the leading manufacturer of high-quality mountain bikes. The Kona Bicycle Company was named after the major island of Kailua-Kona in Hawaii, which held a special place in the hearts of the owners, to this day the company is owned by avid cyclists.

Kona’s range of 2021 bikes has something for every adventurer where we also offer a selected range of electric bikes and road bikes. Cycle Works Yorkshire is a licenced distributor for Kona and has access to their full range of bikes.

Kona bikes have been there, toiling away and producing some of the most legendary mountain bikes since the earliest days of the sport. Despite always being an incredibly innovative brand, Kona has stayed true to their grassroots origins. The same founders who started the company can be found holding the reigns, making sure everything about Kona stays fun and focussed on creating the most exciting bikes possible.

Kona: Big Honzo ST

The Big Honzo ST is the result of all of our favorite options coming together in a single bike. It’s steel, so it feels amazing. It has adjustable dropouts, so you can run a front derailleur or even as a single speed. It comes set up as 27.5+ but can run a 29” wheel. It’s got boost spacing for extra stiffness and control. It’s got an NX/SX Eagle drivetrain, so it climbs with ease. It’s the hardtail that gives you all of the options for customization but is also ready to rip right out of the box.

Kona: Honzo ST

Deciding which Kona is our favorite is like picking your favorite child. Everyone has one, but we don’t really speak about it. Hint, hint…we love the Honzo ST. We’ve built the bike to be gearless and fearless with modular dropouts, so you can go full custom, or run it as we spec it, with a 120mm RockShox Revelation RC fork, SRAM NX 1×11 speed drivetrain, and SRAM Level T brakes.

Kona: Honzo 24

When we made the Honzo, we knew this would be a bike people would want to ride forever. Since we all grow out of kids’ bikes, we figured we’d make a kids’ Honzo that was as cool as the version their parents ride. We redesigned the Honzo 24 to fit wider 2.6” Vee Tire Crown Gem tires to boost traction. We beefed up the fork to Suntour’s XCM Boost 80mm to provide a little extra squish. We also added a QR hub to the rear wheel for easier maintenance.

Kona: Honzo 20

The Honzo 20 is for the mini ripper who has no problem keeping up with the older sibling and needs a bike that rides hard too! A redesigned frame fits wider 20×2.6” Vee Tire Crown Gem tires, making it easier to roll over obstacles on the trail. QR hubs keep tube swaps easy, and a Suntour XCT DS Plus 60mm fork keeps the ride nice and plush. The Honzo 20 will have your grom taking over the neighborhood in no time!

Kona: Process 153 27.5

The Process 153 27.5 is synonymous with dependability. It’s a great option for someone who wants an aggressive bike but may not want a 29” wheel. An updated frame and rocker provide more progressive geometry and all-new tubing. This year smalls feature the new TranzX +RAD dropper post in 150mm, allowing for the seatpost to go lower during descending without sacrificing any height during climbing. A SRAM Eagle NX/SX drivetrain keeps shifting smooth and provides a massive range for those steep ascents. WTB ST i30 TCS rims wrapped in Maxxis rubber keep the bike tracking smoothly on any trail.

Looking for stellar performance and stellar value? The Process 153 CR 29 is the answer. This Kona DH Carbon frame comes with everything you need in a fast, light, and durable enduro bike. A Fox 36 Performance fork and DPX2 Performance Elite rear shock keep the ride smooth. Kona: Blast

Much like its larger-wheeled sibling, the Mahuna, the Blast is the perfect all-rounder for the person looking to ride off-road or cruise around the backwoods bike paths. It features the updated RockShox Judy Silver TK Solo Air fork with 100mm of travel, as well as a Shimano Deore drivetrain and disc brakes. If you’re a fan of plus bikes, you can run up to 2.8” tires on the the WTB ST i27 TCS rims. The Blast is where the mountain meets functionality at a great price.

Kona: Rove AL 700

The Rove AL 700 is what you’ve come to love as the dependable go-anywhere steed. The Rove is willing to go the distance whether on pavement, dirt, or even gravel. An aluminum frame is outfitted with Hayes mechanical disc brakes, a wide gear range, and WTB SX19 700c wheels with WTB Riddler Comp 37c tires, making the Rove AL 700 an affordable, road-ready companion.

Kona: Fire Mountain

This Kona classic brings some of the finer things to light. The Fire Mountain is running the new Microshift Advent 9-speed drivetrain to keep things shifting smoothly and hydraulic disc brakes to stop on a dime. With adjustable 100mm of Suntour suspension and sturdy WTB tires aboard wider 27mm rims, the Fire Mountain helps build confidence off-road. Available for smaller riders in a 26” wheeled XS version and a 27.5” wheel for sizes S-XL.

Kona: Lava Dome

The Lava Dome is kind of like your best friend, but in bike form. It’s awesome in the dirt. It’s awesome to rally around town. It’s awesome poking around neighborhood singletrack, and it does it all in a dependable way. The 2021 Lava Dome features the new Microshift Advent 9-speed drivetrain with a clutch rear derailleur as well as sleek internal cable routing and dropouts. This year the 29” wheels get wider and stronger and can accept up to a 2.6” tire making it ready for everything in its path!

Kona: Remote 160 DL

The introduction of the Remote 160 in 2020 brought the feeling of a Process to an eBike. With rave reviews from many of mountain biking’s top publications we felt the need to take it a step further. The Remote 160 DL utilizes Shimano’s new EP800 motor with a 504 Wh battery. We’ve lowered the bottom bracket to accommodate 29” wheels. Suspension is provided by a 160mm RockShox Zeb Select+ Charger RC2.1 Debonair fork and a Super Deluxe Select rear shock. E-MTB-specific SRAM Guide RE brakes with 200mm rotors slow you down when you need and Maxxis Minion 27.5×2.8” tires give you excellent traction over the roughest terrain.

Kona: Honzo

Often imitated, but never duplicated, the Honzo is a part of Kona’s foundation. The Honzo gets a geo update that slackens the headtube to 67 degrees and steepens the seat tube angle. With a Shimano Deore drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and a long-travel adjustable dropper post, it’s a killer bike for the money. Squish is provided by a RockShox Recon RL Solo Air fork. Folding bead tubeless Maxxis rubber surrounds the WTB ST i30 TCS rims, providing proper grip on any surface.
